Throughout March, kids and adults go green in celebration of Irish traditions and culture. Here’s how to join in:

St. Patrick’s Day

Marin

Lucky Run 5K/10K – This annual fundraiser for Safe & Sober Grad Novato is a chance to get a little extra wear out of your St. Patrick’s Day green. Sun., March 26. 8am. $20-40. Hamilton YMCA, 3 Hamilton Landing, Novato. visitnovato.com.

Kids Club Shamrock Shindig – Enjoy a performance by the Greene Academy of Irish Dance, whose students have showcased their talents all around North America. Kids can dress up for a chance to win a “Cutest Little Leprechaun” contest plus make a St. Patrick’s Day craft. Thu., March 16. 4pm. Flying Leprechaun Skydive – Enjoy some free face painting, jumping in a bounce house and searching for hidden leprechauns before watching leprechauns jump from helicopters high overhead. Badger Cove Half Marathon – Take a run of luck on scenic courses through the emerald hills for the Brazen Leprebadger. Categories for all ages; register online. Sat., March 18. St. Patrick's Day Festival – Join the City of Dublin for its 34th annual St. Patrick's Day celebration beginning with a parade on Sat. at 9:30am from Amador Plaza. The festival will be at the Dublin Civic Center on Sat. and Sun. from 10am-5pm with carnival rides, food and drink, shopping and three stages of Irish music and dance. March 18-19. FREE.
