Holiday Ice Rink – Celebrating 31 years of holiday spirit, this rink bills itself as the largest outdoor rink in the Bay Area. Open Nov. 3-Jan. 7. Sun.-Thu.: 10am-9:30pm; Fri.-Sat.: 10am-11:30pm. Sessions begin on every even hour beginning at 10am and last 90 minutes. $12 general, $7 under 9, skate rental $5. Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square – This popular rink is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The season kicks off Wed., Nov. 1 at 9:30am with an opening day ceremony followed by an all-day birthday celebration on Fri., Nov. 3, when skating is FREE. Flashback Friday is Nov. 10. Any person with a birthday between Nov. 3 and Jan. 15 with proof of ID will be given FREE admission and skate rental for their birthday. Rink is open daily 10am-11:30pm Nov. 1-Jan. 15. California Academy of Sciences Ice Rink  This new holiday ice rink in the East Garden is a feature of this year's annual 'Tis the Season for Science program. Nov. 22-Jan. 7. Check website for times. Tickets for 55-minute skating sessions are $12 and include skate rental.
