Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square – This popular rink is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The season kicks off Wed., Nov. 1 at 9:30am with an opening day ceremony followed by an all-day birthday celebration on Fri., Nov. 3, when skating is FREE. Flashback Friday is Nov. 10. Any person with a birthday between Nov. 3 and Jan. 15 with proof of ID will be given FREE admission and skate rental for their birthday. Rink is open daily 10am-11:30pm Nov. 1-Jan. 15. California Academy of Sciences Ice Rink – This new holiday ice rink in the East Garden is a feature of this year's annual 'Tis the Season for Science program. Nov. 22-Jan. 7. Check website for times.
