We provide our junior kindergarten through eighth grade students with a superior, well-rounded education using small group instruction.
Children develop character, self-confidence, creativity, and communication skills. Carden Day School's program offers Reading, Spelling, Grammar, Dictation, Composition, Arithmetic, Science, Social Studies, French, Computers, Music, Latin, and Art.
Students learn to express themselves orally, in writing, through music and through the arts in this multi-faceted program. To further the students' knowledge of culture and the world, CDS offers a variety of assemblies, field trips, theatre productions, sports activities, and yearly trips to Canada, China, France, Italy, Spain, and the UK. In Middle School, students are exposed to science camps, ranging from Catalina Island Marine Institute, Yosemite National Park, and AstroCamp. 8th Grade students travel to the East Coast for an historical and educational trip, visiting everything from Monticello to Arlington, the Capitol Building to New York's Broadway and much more.
Beyond the academic day, students are able to further develop their individuality through Carden Day School's many after school clubs and activity-packed extended care program.
In the afternoon, CDS classes range from Karate to Creative Writing.
