The International School of the Peninsula (ISTP) provides a rigorous and dynamic inquiry-based bilingual program that inspires students to develop an inquisitive and responsible international mindset. The school offers both a French and a Chinese bilingual program for nursery (preschool) through 5th grade, as well as an international middle school for grades 6-8. ISTP is also proud to offer free year-round care for students entering nursery and Pre-K.
ISTP’s inquiry-based approach has students engaging in discussion around a particular concept, and develop questions they would like to answer. Concepts are broad, universal, and lifelong, allowing for interdisciplinary connections. The process of inquiry focuses on the journey of moving from question to deeper question, in order to really wrestle with the answers and see issues from a broader perspective.
At the core of an ISTP education is the bilingual component, where students are taught through language and culture. ISTP is proud of their exemplary faculty of native-speaking and bicultural teachers, and offers a low student-to-teacher ratio. Within a safe and nurturing environment, students are encouraged to collaborate, communicate, experiment, grow, and excel.
