This event occurs weekly, on Thursday.
If you are a grandparent, aunt, uncle, cousin, sibling, friend, or neighbor who cares for young children, you’re invited to our free 81st Avenue Library Playgroup! Join us for a time of imagination and play that will also offer vital ideas to support early learning. Playgroups are a great space to bond with children and meet other caregivers who are raising our youngest learners.
Experienced facilitator Kamilah Usoro will set up activities, play stations, and circle times that reinforce the joy of learning and allow for both child-directed free play and teacher-guided learning exercises. She will be able to answer questions about replicating lessons at home and discuss how to use simple household items to encourage healthy development. If you're interested in gaining a better understanding of how children learn through play, this is a perfect opportunity. You will take home skills for improving adult-child relationships, techniques for supporting children's early education, and ways to ensure children are prepared for kindergarten. Playgroups give kids a strong start in life, so we look forward to seeing you and your child at event soon at an event soon!
These playgroups are held every Thursday until June 8 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.
