This event occurs weekly, on Sunday.
This series of classes will take students on a cultural journey of India. Students will learn about important cultural festivals through fun activities, including arts and crafts, stories and fables. The course also covers the clothing and rituals of seven festivals including Diwali, Maha Shivarati and Dussehra. Through this journey, participants will learn the rich values and heritage of India.
Instructor: Preeti Balchandani was born in India and holds a master’s degree in engineering. Since moving to the United States, she has helped direct international fairs for schools to increase knowledge of Indian traditions and cultural heritage.
Materials Fee: $10 (payable to instructor)
