Camp Wonder (www.csdf.org) is a FREE summer camp for children with any skin disease, ages 6 - 16. Each year, children from around the country with chronic skin disease take a break from being a patient for a week and focus on just being a kid. Camp Wonder is a special place free of judgment and stares! We create an environment of acceptance and support to empower the children to be themselves. We cover all costs associated with camp, even travel if the child lives outside the bay area. We partner with UCLA, UCI, USC, UCSF and Stanford. Camp Wonder is held at Camp Arroyo, in Livermore, a beautiful camp site built for children with special needs. The dates for this summer are June 19 - 24, 2017. If you are interested in volunteering as a counselor (ages 17 - 25), please contact us! If you are interested in volunteering for our medical staff, please contact us!
NOTE: The child must adhere to all vaccine regulations and have a doctor fill out paperwork confirming a skin disease diagnosis. We accept children regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation. For frequently asked questions, please visit www.csdf.org/FAQCW.
