Hindi for Beginners (Grades 7-10)

This event occurs weekly, on Sunday.


This introductory course is designed for students with little or no previous knowledge of Hindi. The course will focus on the four essential language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Students will engage in learning through games, puzzles, flash cards and play. By the end of the session, students will have an understanding of Hindi vowels, nouns, verbs, adjectives, everyday greetings and simple sentence formation. Students will demonstrate their learning in a final showcase performance.


Instructor: Alka Gupta is an author and native Hindi speaker from Delhi, India. She has been teaching Hindi to students in the Bay Area for more than 14 years.


Cost: $149

Materials Fee: $15 (payable to instructor)
