Alum Rock Earth Day - Park rangers and the Youth Science Institute host a celebration for families that’s part volunteer projects, part festival. Sat., April 20. Volunteer event: 9am-1pm. Cupertino’s Annual Earth and Arbor Day Festival - An interactive event for community members of all ages to learn about environmental issues and solutions in a family-friendly, atmosphere. Earth Day Fun! STEAM K-5 - A storytime reading of The Earth and I by Frank Asch; a special tour of Tony Foster’s beautiful watercolor diaries, focusing on endangered places like the rainforests and coral reefs, plus a craft. Palo Alto Earth Day & Great Race for Saving Water - A family-friendly 5K and 10K fun run and walk, kids dash and Earth Day festival with live music and storytime. CuriOdyssey Earth Day - Enjoy and conserve the beauty of nature with a Coyote Point Park beach cleanup from 9-11am, then watch raptors soar overhead in a falconry demonstration, create a conservation craft and watch wildlife presentations.
