Community Day: a de los Muertos Celebrate Day of the Dead with a full day of live entertainment, cultural demonstrations and an eclectic mix of art-making experiences. Nov. 3. 11am-5pm. FREE. San Jose Museum of Art, 110 S. Market St, San  Jose.

Day of the Dead Celebrate Dìa de los Muertos with a screening of CoCo, skull makeup with makeup artist Sarah Cabana, pan dulce munching and other fun activities. Nov. 4. 1-5:30pm. FREE. Mitchell Park Community Center, 3700 Middlefield Road, Palo Alto.

a de los Muertos Gather in downtown Berkeley for a celebration of those who have moved on with ceramic or sugar skull painting, free skeletal face painting, Mariachi and violin music, food and shopping. Wear traditional costumes and bring photos or stories of loved ones with beads, candles and flowers to add to the community offering. Nov. 2. 5-10pm. FREE.
