Corte Madera Parade and Festival – Parade features several bands including Corte Madera Town Band, McIntosh Pipe Band and Freedom Band. Festival features arts and crafts, live entertainment, children’s activities and food. July 4. Parade begins at 10:30am at Redwood High School, 395 Doherty Drive, Larkspur. Festival is 9am-5pm at Corte Madera Town Park, 498 Tamalpais Drive. FREE.
Fourth of July Dockside Fireworks Viewing on the SS Jeremiah O'Brien – Celebrate Independence Day and enjoy the Bay Area's finest fireworks showcase aboard this historic World War II Liberty ship. Half Moon Bay Ol’ Fashioned Fourth of July Parade and Barbecue –This is a mini Mardi Gras-style celebration featuring whimsical floats, marching bands, horses, community service groups, cool cars, pooches on parade, youth sports teams and more. The Red, White and Blue Community Barbecue features a Kidzone with face painting and a petting zoo, live music and a libations tent selling wine, beer, margaritas and mimosas. July 4. Parade begins at 12pm and winds down Main Street. Barbecue is 12-3pm in the City Hall parking lot, 501 Main St.. July 4th Redwood City ParadeRun – The Redwood City Education Foundation sponsors the ParadeRun, a family-friendly 5K run/walk. Travel three loops around the Redwood City Fourth of July Parade route. Pier 39 Music and Fireworks – Mustache Harbor-Yacht Rock Explosion performs 3-6pm. At 9:30pm, look up at the city of San Francisco’s spectacular fireworks display. July 4. FREE. The Embarcadero, San Francisco. 415-705-5500.
Sausalito Parade, Picnic and Fireworks – Parade begins at 10am at Second and Main streets and features floats, bands, clowns, classic cars, acrobats and more. Picnic begins at 12pm at Robin Sweeny Park, 339 Caledonia St., and includes food, family games and dancing. Fireworks show begins at 6:30pm with music by the Cap City Band at Gabrielson Park, Humboldt Avenue and Anchor Street and includes food trucks and beverage sales. Fireworks are at 9pm. July 4. Alameda Mayor’s Fourth of July Parade - This is one of the longest parade routes in the country at 3.3 miles. The procession features more than 160 floats, equestrians, dance troupes, antique cars and more. Thu., July 4. 10am. FREE. Lineup is at Park Street and Lincoln Avenue. 510-263-9499.
Ardenwood Historic Farm Independence Day Celebration - Enjoy a 1900s-style celebration with patriotic music on the lawn, fiddle tunes at the farm yard, games, contests, races, nail-driving, an egg toss, watermelon-seed spitting and more.
