Holiday Shopping in San Francisco
Noe Valley – This quaint district goes all out for the holidays with 24 days of special events along 24th Street from Dec. 1-24, including live reindeer, free hayrides on Dec. 2 and 9, carolers, Santa, a wine walk and more.
Union Square – A giant tree, ice skating rink, decorated holiday windows and hotels like the Westin St. Francis make Union Square one of the Bay Area’s most festive spots for holiday shopping. The Macy’s holiday tree will be lit at 6pm on Nov. 24 and the ice rink is open Nov.1-Jan. 15. Santa will hold court at Macy’s from Nov. 24 through Dec. 25. .
Union Street – Cow Hollow’s Victorian shopping district kicks off its annual Fantasy of Lights on Dec. 2 with ornament decorating at 3pm, horse-drawn carriage rides at 3:30pm, jugglers, face painters, balloon artists, entertainment and more. Santa arrives outside the Cudworth Mansion at 5:30pm. The celebration continues all month with lights, refreshments and validated parking.
