Santa Clara Ice – Outdoor skating in Central Park with public skating and lessons available. Nov. 20-Jan. 15. $10-15, ages 3 and under FREE. 969 Kiely Blvd.

Holiday Ice Rink – Billed as one of the largest outdoor ice rinks in the Bay Area, this facility is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Opens Nov. 5. 10am-9:30pm Sun.-Thu. 10am-11:30pm Fri.-Sat. $12 general, $7 under age 9; skate rental $5. Safeway Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square – This popular rink’s season kicks off Wed., Nov. 7 at 9:30am with local celebrities and festivities. Rink is open daily 10am-11:30pm through Jan. 21. $18 adults, $13 children under 9, including skate rental. 333 Post St. 415-781-2688.
Winter Park at Civic Center – This new rink modeled after the internationally famous Wiener Eistraum in Vienna will have daily open skate sessions plus themed dance and skate parties, a first responders’ celebration, a family-friendly drag queen event and more.
