San Francisco State Kid’s Camp mission is to provide a safe and high-quality summer experience that engages campers with recreation, field trips, and other interactive learning activities. Our diverse programming will educate at a beginner level, the dimensions of health and wellness in a fun summer environment.

Safety: Safety is our #1 priority and before programming our activities. We will be maintaining a camper to counselor ratio lower than the legal requirement, perform frequent headcounts and run activities specific for each age group.

Well-trained staff: Counselors will participate in 40 hours of intensive and specific camp training. We will be discussing all the aspects of camps, safety, activity programming, and how to use the Mashouf Wellness Center to its fullest potential. Our entire staff will be CPR, First Aid, AED certified.

Diversity of programming: Campers benefit from diverse experiences and educational opportunities. Our activities keep campers busy and engaged, all week, and all summer.

We are an active camp: We are always shaking, moving, and producing new fun ways to be active! We know we have done our jobs when your camper is happy and tired by the end of the day.

About Our Staff
All of our counselors are matriculating San Francisco State Students. Each one will have a background check and be trained in CPR/First Aid & AED. Our counselors have been hired for their skills with youth and focus on wellness.

Snacks and Lunches
Snack will be provided every day for campers. Lunches should be brought by campers in a bag that has their own name. We will provide a refrigerator so cold lunches can be kept safe for lunch. We will not be able to heat up lunches for campers.

Daily Schedule
The daily schedule includes three activity periods in the morning, a wellness activity after lunch, and a major activity in the afternoon. Such as swimming, rock climbing, or big outdoor games. For campers who have less swimming experience, we have an activity pool with a soft floor and standing room at three feet. Each theme week will have its own correlating activities, games and a curriculum. Daily activities will include; arts and crafts, science projects, team building games, wellness and yoga, and big events on Fridays!
