They say it takes a village...come find your village here! Bay Area Birth Information (BABI), a local nonprofit organization, invites YOU to the 15th Annual Pregnancy & New Family Expo connecting expectant and new parents with dedicated professionals, services, information, and community resources. Join us for a fun day with FREE massages, amazing raffle prizes, and giveaways from local birth and baby shops and practitioners! Free workshops and panels will be offered throughout the day.
Connect with holistic birth and family professionals in the Bay Area. Meet midwives, doulas, childbirth educators, breastfeeding and infant care instructors, chiropractors, acupuncturists, herbalists, prenatal and infant massage therapists, prenatal yoga instructors, and local support groups. There will be FREE mini acupuncture treatments, massages, personal consultations, lots of prize drawings, a kids play area, demonstrations, and talks by local experts throughout the day. Come EXPERIENCE what the Bay Area has to offer!
BABI provides a centralized resource, making it easy for Bay Area parents to learn how to have a healthy and positive birth experience. BABI is the only non-profit, non-affiliated pregnancy and parenting resource of its kind in the South Bay and Peninsula. Each member of the Board of Directors volunteers their time. Our supporting membership includes parents, providers, and dedicated community members.
Through compassionate, accessible, and non-judgmental education and resources, BABI promotes awareness of evidence-based care and options, in order to reduce unnecessary birth interventions, improve breastfeeding success rates, and preserve healthy mother/baby/family attachments. BABI's mission is based on the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services (CIMS), a nationwide effort to promote healthy, natural childbirth.
