Multi-media Advertising Sales for a Leading Media Company

Bay Area Parent, a division of Landmark Communications, is seeking a full time, multi-media ad sales consultant. Bay Area Parent is the leader in the industry for reaching Bay Area parents and families through the latest in digital media platforms including email, programmatic/retargeting, digital publications, and online promotions as well as print, social media and events. Bay Area Parent reaches over 400,000 high income parents in the Santa Clara, San Mateo, San Francisco, Marin, Contra Costa and Alameda counties. This position is primarily outside sales prospecting via phone, email, and in-person, but it will have an extensive opportunity prospecting significant geography in the Bay Area for new business from new and inactive clients.
Candidates will identify, develop, pitch, and execute a variety of multi-media advertising programs. Job functions/responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Originate, manage and scale an ad sales pipeline sufficient for meeting revenue goals
- Cultivate and pitch prospects, draft proposals, negotiate terms, and manage the contracting, review, and signature process for insertion orders
- Develop and maintain a prospecting and targeting system and provide regular reporting
- The ideal candidate has:
- Close business
In addition, the ideal candidate may have:
- Print and online ad sales experience
- Worked successfully in a small company or entrepreneurial environment and must be a self-starter
- Proven new business development skills in a competitive marketplace
- The ability to apply creative thinking and possess exceptional problem solving skills
- An upbeat attitude and energetic with an aggressive approach to sales and prospecting
- CRM experience
