One of the many lost rites of last summer was the chance to attend a county fair, a longtime family-fun tradition of rides, animal exhibits, entertainment and, of course, the guilty pleasures of fair food. This year, many Bay Area county fairs are poised for a comeback, with some shifting dates to allow in-person attendance and others pivoting to virtual events with some in-person elements, such as fair food drive-ins.
