There is no shortage of LEGO clubs, centers, stores, camps and workshops in the Bay Area.  Check out these great places to build with bricks.
Bay Area Wide
Bay Area LEGO Users Group or BayLUG. This club of enthusiasts, young and old, holds public meetings and has exhibits at local events. It’s open to all. baylug.org.
Bricks 4 Kidz. Its programs, designed by engineers and architects, have exciting themes such as space, construction and amusement parks. It offers camps, in-school workshops, afterschool programs, birthday party packages, preschool classes and a kids’ night out. bricks4kidz.com.
East Bay
Alameda County Library. Free LEGO activities are offered at some of the branches. aclibrary.org.
BrickSpace. This hidden gem in Benicia offers LEGO camps, afterschool programs, birthday party packages, drop-in times and more. brickspacebenicia.net.
Play-Well Pleasanton Activity Center. This center hosts drop-in play, workshops, birthday packages, camps, hard-to-find building toys and classes including some with Star Wars and Minecraft themes. play-well.org/pleasanton-center.shtml.
Marin
Marin County Free Library. Some branches offer LEGO Clubs for kids. marinlibrary.org.
Play-Well Marin Activity Center. Shelves are stocked with hard-to-find LEGO items such as series 13 and 14 minifigures, EV3 Mindstorm, new Star Wars and more. play-well.org/marin-center.shtml.
Peninsula
San Mateo County Library. Kids ages 3 and up can bring their imaginations every first Saturday of the month at the Brisbane Branch’s LEGO Club. Check website for more events. smcl.org.
San Francisco
San Francisco Public Library. Most of the branches offer drop-in LEGO activities where kids can build to their hearts desire. sfpl.org.
