For the past 100 years, Camp Tawonga has served as a leader in Jewish camping, inspiring in children and families a deep connection to nature, community, and Judaism. Within Tawonga’s warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment led by exceptional staff, campers build independence, grow their confidence, and find true belonging.
At our beautiful Yosemite location, campers experience summer sessions in a communal 12-person bunk, living in rustic cabins, guided and supported by two supportive counselors. Epic backpacking trips expand campers’ horizons, and premier programming like farm-to-table cooking ensures nonstop fun. Campers build the deepest of friendships while learning new skills and discovering the joy of a loving Jewish community.
SUMMER SESSIONS
Camp Tawonga offers sessions at our Yosemite-based location ranging from 1, 2, and 3 weeks for rising 2nd-10th graders. Rising 7th to 10th graders can also choose from Adventure Travel Quests while older teens can apply for longer leadership programs like Staff In-Training or our service-focused Teen Leadership Institute. We also offer three and four day all-inclusive adult retreats and family weekends in the spring, fall, and winter.
