Native American Heritage: Paper Basket Making for Kids – Kim Shuck, member of the Cherokee Nation and San Francisco’s seventh Poet Laureate, brings her expertise as a weaver and artist to teach a workshop on paper basket weaving. Oakland Turkey Trot – Get a healthy start to the holiday while helping out the Alameda County Community Food Bank and Oakland Education Fund by participating in this 5K race or kids fun runs with Oakland A’s mascot Stomper. Forma Gym Turkey Trot – Get in on the action in this 27th annual East Bay tradition. Choose from 5K, 10K, kids fun runs and festival areas with costume contests.
