Winston Prep got its start as the first high school in New York City devoted to individualized education and has since expanded programming to serve students ages 8-21+ with seven campuses across the United States, as well as a fully online program accessible anywhere.
Winston Prep’s Bay Area campus, located in San Rafael, first opened its doors in 2020. Unlike other learning models and programs, Winston Prep groups students by learning profile and provides daily 1:1 instruction.
Focus teachers work 1:1 with each student daily for individualized instruction, ensuring that each student’s program is continually evolving as they develop. From time management and executive function skill-building to self-advocacy and navigating social communication, your child will build the independence and confidence needed for life and learning.
Classes are intentionally small, and students are grouped by learning profile, allowing teachers to work closely with students, adapt instruction in real time, and foster meaningful connections. This individualization, combined with social-emotional learning and essential skill development, leads to clear improvements in academic achievement, resilience, and connections with others.
The results? Winston Prep has a 99.7% high school graduation rate, with over 80% of graduates enrolling in colleges and universities (compared to 33% nationwide for neurodivergent students).
