The Face of Global Education

At Hiba Academy Bay Area, bilingual education is about more than learning two languages. It is about preparing children to thrive in an increasingly connected world. As part of the Wellington College Education family of schools, Hiba Academy combines academic excellence, personal well-being and global understanding through a 50/50 English-Mandarin immersion program. “Children are capable of so much more than we often give them credit for,” says Head of School Colette McWilliams. “When you combine high expectations with exceptional teaching and a caring community, they develop confidence, curiosity and resilience to succeed.” Opening this fall in San Francisco, Hiba Academy will welcome students from Preschool through Grade 1, with plans to expand.
