The Face of Private Preschool

According to German teaching methods, the secret to teaching children to love learning is to provide a gentle start while building a solid foundation. When they’re ready for formal academic learning, their bilingual experience “pays dividends,” helping them accelerate past their peers, explained Kaylene Rudd, Executive Director of East Bay German International School. “We immerse our preschool and kindergarten students in a language-rich environment built around stories, songs, and engaging discussions,” Rudd said. “Our German-based curriculum offers a gentle start in the early elementary years, then accelerates during middle school, surpassing American curricula. By middle school, our students are prepared for, and hungry for, advanced math, science and sophisticated literature studies.” The EBGIS campus also houses the East Bay International High School, an accredited International Baccalaureate (IB) high school taught in English.
